Soriana three-seater in original leather by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, 1970s (SOLD)

Amazing Afra & Tobia Scarpa “Soriana” three seater sofa in original patinated cognac leather. Produced by Cassina in the 1970s. This is the largest sofa from the ‘Soriana’ series. The Soriana was meant to express beauty and comfort by using a whole bundle of fabric (or leather) held by a chrome-plated steel clamp. This cloud-like sofa, perfect for low-slung lounging, was designed in the collection and won the Compasso D’oro in 1969 for its design. The versions in original leather and in good condition are extremely hard to find nowadays. Especially in this color!
