Soriana three-seater sofa by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, Italy 1970s (SOLD)

Amazing Afra & Tobia Scarpa “Soriana” three-seater sofa in original chocolate brown mohair fabric. Produced by Cassina in the 1970s. The Soriana was meant to express beauty and comfort by using a whole bundle of fabric (or leather) held by a chrome-plated steel clamp. This cloud-like sofa, perfect for low-slung lounging, was designed in the collection and won the Compasso D’oro in 1969 for its design. The versions in original fabric and in good condition is hard to find nowadays. Especially in this color!
