Rare “R16” sideboard by Pierre Chapo in solid Elm, France 1970s (SOLD)

Amazing R16 sideboard designed by Pierre Chapo in 1966 made from solid elm wood.

Its large size and minimalist lines make it one of the most sought after pieces by collectors of Chapo’s work. The four sturdy but well-proportioned legs support a huge central body with four compartments of different sizes. It’s hard to find sideboards of this size that stand out for their simplicity and elegance. The R16 is the biggest piece that Chapo designed.
