Pair of Model 925 Easy Chairs by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, Italy 1970s. Beautiful example made out of dark warm colored Walnut and re-upholstered with luxury Italian cognac leather. The chair is inspired by a sketch made in 1943 by the famous father of Tobia, architect Carlo Scarpa. The design is very minimal and modest but is showing great details such as the wood joinery and cut out parts in the seat and backrest. The elegant curved backrest and seat creates an interesting contrast with the square cubic frame. Both chairs are marked with the original sticker.
