Pair of large lounge chairs with footstool by Jean Gillon produced by Italma Wood Art in the late 1950s-early 1960s in Brazil. The chairs feature a beautifully designed solid jacaranda wood frame, with the characteristic bend leg-ends. Leather straps that are beautifully worked through the wood hold the thick upholstery cushions made of the finest quality soft black leather. The chair is marked underneath with the original designer and manufacturer tag. An absolutely master crafted lounge chair that is a center piece and eye catcher in any interior, and rare to find in this original good condition.
