Pair of F815 Lounge Chairs by Theo Ruth for Artifort, 1950s (SOLD)

This striking pair of lounge chairs was designed by Theo Ruth in the early 1960s. The rare model numbered F815 was produced by Artifort in The Netherlands.
The design is marked by the rounded lines of the upholstered seat and the angled positioning of the seat on the frame. The seating is thick and comfortable, which is something Ruth is known for. The distinct metal frame in black coated metal creates a beautiful graphic effect in combination with the rounded back.

It has been completely re-upholstered in a nice cream velvet fabric.
