Early “Kyoto” coffee table by Gianfranco Frattini for Knoll, Italy 1974. made in small quantities by master cabinetmaker Pierluigi Ghianda. The frame is build up from maple wood and the horizontal and vertical beams provide a graphic grid. The beams can be disassembled and can be rearranged. The feet are seamlessly integrated in the frame and have a rounded shape. The thick glass plate doesn’t rest on the wooden frame but on 4 leather upholstered brown discs placed on top of the frame and that form an intermediary connection between glass top and wood frame.
