Important highback lounge chair by Bas van Pelt in bouclé fabric 1946
Early highback lounge chair designed in the 1930s by Bas van Pelt. We were able to buy a full collection by Bas van Pelt from the first owners. They decorated their complete house with Bas van Pelt furniture which was purchased just after the second World War in 1946. Pictures of the furniture are also archived by the My Home foundation in Den Haag which was set up by Bas van Pelt his wife and daugther.
Provenance: Bought from the first owner in Den Haag. Comes with a full provenance report. The furniture is also photographed and archived by the My Home foundation in Den Haag.
Condition: Very good. Structural re-inforced and re-upholstered in Boucle.
