Dom Hans van der Laan church bench 1960s (SOLD)

Beautiful church bench designed by Dom Hans van der Laan. Made in the studio of Van der Laan’s student Jan de Jong (1917-2001) in Schaijk. This bench is made of grey stained wood which is constructed with copper nails, which was a trade mark for de Bossche School. This bench still has the original grey lacquer finish! Colors selected by Wim van Hooff.

Origin: (now demolished) chapel in Amstelveen (provenance on request)
Dating: mid-1960s.
Made in the studio of Van der Laan’s student Jan de Jong (1917-2001) in Schaijk.

The bench is in good condition, with some wear and tear from fifty years of use;
directly from the chapel.

Condition: Good used condition with marks of usage as shown on the picture
