3-piece fiber art composition by Marije Kraayeveld, The Netherlands 1978 (SOLD)

Unique handwoven 3-piece fiber art composition by Marije den Hartogh, The Netherlands 1970s. Marije den Hartogh (also worked under the name Marije Kraayeveld) was a Dutch textile artist, trained at the De Schans Academy, where she obtained the Ns certificate in 1972. She then worked in weaving workshops in Poland, the epicenter of innovative textile art in the 1970s with Magdalena Abakanowicz as figurehead. Between 1975 and 1993 she had numerous exhibitions, such as the Heineken Gallery, De Afstap gallery and the Molen van Adam. Her textile sculptures were also on display in the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar as part of the Overtoom collection. For health reasons she stopped weaving in 1994.
